FOOTBALL: New VHSL Region Standings

More shakeups in Region 5B, while we still have four unbeaten teams in Region 4B and Thomas Jefferson builds its lead in Region 3B with just two Fridays to go in the regular season. Below are the latest Region standings based on the Virginia High School League (VHSL) point system. Also noted are the top four teams in regions outside the area whose champion will play the region champion for our area in state semifinal action on December 2nd. Team records are posted as well (VHSL games only).

Remember that Region A in all classes will host Region B in the state semifinal round. The top eight teams make the postseason in all listed regions except Region 6B, which takes the top seven teams and gives the #1 seed a bye out of the first round.
