Henrico finally won its own holiday tournament for the first time in three years Wednesday night, overcoming St. Christopher's and a challenging circuit breaker system to win 87-74 and finish calendar year 2015 unbeaten at 29-0.

Virginia Tech has accepted an invitation to the Independence Bowl on Saturday, December 26th where they will face Tulsa, the 23rd straight season the Hokies, under retiring head coach Frank Beamer, have played in a bowl game. Ironically, the first bowl in the streak was the 1993 Independence Bowl against Indiana. The game will begin at 5:45pm in Shreveport, Louisiana.
