Group 5A and 4A All-State Basketball Honors Announced

Several area student-athletes have been honored by the Virginia High School League (VHSL) Wednesday as the All-State teams in Group 5A Boys, 5A Girls, and 4A Girls were released by the league office Wednesday morning. NOTE: Group 4A Boys, also listed, were previously announced.

STATE CHAMPIONSHIP WEDNESDAY: Our Broadcast and Tweet Schedule!!

After much deliberation, and your input, we have decided on the following live coverage schedule tomorrow as FIVE Richmond-area teams play for VHSL State Basketball Championships!

NOTES:

VIDEO COVERAGE FROM VHSL: If you prefer to watch the championship games, you can online via the Virginia High School League and NFHS, for a $9.95 fee, which covers all games for one day by CLICKING HERE. For $14.95, you can watch the rest of the week, including the Hopewell and John Marshall boys Friday, and Appomattox Regional Governors School Thursday, plus any Saturday championship games they are involved in.

COMING TO SIEGEL?: Tickets are $10, doors open at 9am.  Parking is available in the Broad Street deck across from Siegel and in the Bowe Street deck across from Kroger on the same side of Broad as Siegel. One ticket is good all day Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

TOURNAMENT CENTRAL: State Basketball Semifinal And Championship Schedules!

Eight Richmond-area teams head to the Siegel Center this week with hopes of hoisting a state championship trophy. Below is the schedule for these teams in the Virginia High School League (VHSL) State Semifinals.

NOTES:

--Games confirmed to be covered on the RVA Sports Network Twitter network are noted with the Twitter feed to follow beside the game listing. All games featured on our main network feed, @TheRVASportsNet.

--Tickets are $10 per "session". The Siegel Center will be cleared between sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday between the 3:30pm and 7:15pm games. Children aged six and under are admitted free with a parent.

--All semifinals and championship games are available to watch, for a fee, via the NFHS and VHSL by CLICKING HERE.

--Follow @TheRVASportsNet on Twitter as there is a chance RVA Sports Network may air internet radio coverage of selected state championship games. If this happens, we will broadcast on our YouTube Channel, found by CLICKING HERE.
