HEADLINES:

--667 yards of total offense, five passing touchdowns from Juwan Carter as Highland Springs dissects Atlee defense for their fourth win.
--A mental breakdown at game's end costs Henrico possession and the game as they fall for the first time. Huge win for Varina to keep pace in 5A South Central playoff race.
--Matoaca makes many stand up and notice. After 58-36 loss to Manchester opening night August 28th, they've won four straight and are in the 5A South Central playoff race, making things more difficult for teams like Varina, Mills Godwin, and Meadowbrook, trying to overcome slow starts to get back in the race in the second half of the regular season.
--Patrick Henry still seeks a signature win, losing a very close one to a rival they haven't defeated since 2006.
--Hopewell makes a statement in 3A East with their rout of Petersburg.

NOTE: New NBC12/RVA Sports Network Big 12 High School Football Poll will release Tuesday night during NBC12 News at 11 due to the Thomas Dale/Prince George game being played Tuesday night. Thomas Dale's home game against Dinwiddie has been pushed back to Saturday at 1pm to accomodate.
