New RVA Sports Network Top 10 Basketball Polls

The top of the polls stay steady, but there's movement below as the regular season begins its third week and we draw closer to our 2016 Holiday Feast of Hoops on The RVA Sports Network!


BOYS:

Dropping Out: Benedictine

NOTES: The Skyhawks are one of six unbeaten teams in the poll, the top five and newcomer #10 Mills Godwin....#6 Varina (shown below) bounced back from their home loss to #1 L.C. Bird by knocking off Henrico Friday, who dropped from #5 to #7....a 38-point win over Kecoughtan helps fuel John Marshall's early season rise in the polls, cracking the Top 5 for the first time.

NOTES: Monacan gets two big wins against top competition in the She Got Game Classic Friday and Saturday over teams from Maryland and Massachusetts. We'll see if it helps the Chiefs climb higher than #10 in the latest USA Today Super 25 national poll....the Skyhawks return to the Top 10 with three straight wins after an opening loss to #5 St. Catherine's, while James River debuts after a hot 6-0 start by the Rapids.
