The Virginia High School League announced Friday morning that, "due to the winter weather advisory forecast of 4-6 inches of snow expected across various parts of Virginia beginning Friday night through Saturday, all championship football games for all Classes scheduled for Saturday December 9 are postponed and are rescheduled for Saturday December 10."
The League said the decision was made "with the utmost concern for travel safety for all participants, teams and fans."
Here's the area schedule for Sunday:
CLASS 5: Highland Springs vs. Tuscarora, 12pm, Hampton University
CLASS 4: Louisa vs. Salem, 5:30pm, College of William & Mary
CLASS 3: Hopewell vs. Heritage-Lynchburg, 12pm, College of William & Mary
Tickets are $10. Paid parking is available. Go to www.vhsl.org/football to see parking maps for both stadiums.
